We are APOLLO5, a five-piece vocal ensemble from London and part of the VOCES8 Foundation. Since our formation in 2011, we have aimed to share stories, stir emotions and inspire audiences through singing.
Our repertoire spans more than 500 years of music, and with seven studio albums and international performances we have been fortunate to receive recognition from critics and audiences alike.

Clare Stewart Steps Down as Director of APOLLO5
Clare Stewart has decided to step down from her role as Director of APOLLO5 and will be leaving VOCES8 Foundation at the end of August 2025.
This decision comes as APOLLO5 celebrates its 15th anniversary year — a milestone that marks both the group’s achievements and the culmination of a significant chapter in Clare’s leadership journey.
Clare established APOLLO5 as part of the Foundation in 2010. Her investment, creative drive, and dedication have shaped the ensemble’s identity, guiding it through international performances and acclaimed recordings.
The VOCES8 Foundation is grateful for all that Clare has contributed and wishes her every success as she begins her next chapter.
As APOLLO5 marks this milestone year, the Foundation looks ahead to the ensemble’s future and will share plans in due course.
Thomas Mottershead joins APOLLO5 as new tenor
Thomas gives his first performance with the group on 30th July at Milton Abbey in Dorset, followed by a handful of European dates in August.
New Album: ‘Anam’
It’s time for us to introduce you to ‘Anam’, our seventh studio album and a Gaelic-tinged collection of ‘Music to Move the Soul’.
New arrangements of classic folk songs, pagan texts, poetry by Robert Burns and even a few traditional Celtic instruments appear alongside Italian Renaissance madrigals, new settings of English Romantic poetry and a few familiar favourites.
